The guest house is a walk-out ranch structure surrounded by trees
and facing rolling farmland.(In the spring these woods are a mushroom
hunter's paradise due to elm trees galore ! Mid-July also brings
fields full of wild blackberry bushes ready to be picked- cautiously
with gloves due to thorns but worth the trouble)

The upstairs has a large great room/kitchen with a fireplace and
a screened porch accessed through french doors. Two bedrooms upstairs
(with queen and full size beds), bath and office/library complete
the first floor.
The lower level has two bedrooms where twin beds
can accommodate families or singles. A large recreational room with
exercise equipment, game table and tv provides leisure space for
guests. A convenient kitchen is available for snacks and cookouts
on the gas grill. Washer /dryer are available off the downstairs
bathroom as is air conditioning throughout.
(Special provision of all twin beds can be made
if desired)

Ecclesiastes 3:1 tells us: "to everything
there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven..."
Surely a time of rest and restoration is needed by those in full-time
ministry. It is also evident in scripture that Moses set a pattern
for going a good distance from the camp to seek the Lord and hear
His voice. (Exodus 33:17) Jesus Himself and His disciples set themselves
apart (Matt. 14:13;17::19 and 20:17, Mark 6:31 and 9:2) to receive
needed rest and revelation.
Whether needing restoration of body, soul and spirit
due to the constant demands of ministry or seeking fresh revelation
and direction for continued service, Doe Run Retreat offers a set
apart place, a place of...
Solitude- no phones,
no schedules, a country home to yourselves where just doing nothing
is an option

spots to just stop and reflect.

and waiting for the right bait!

sq ft partially carpeted tent with inspirational music available 24/7,
a meeting place to soak in His presence
